Originally inaugurated in 1915, the Teatro Circo de Braga, designed by the architect Moura Coutinho, was submitted to profound renovation construction work that allowed it to recover a key role in the cultural life of the northern city. The intention of giving this infrastructure the dignity and dynamics it had years ago, as well as the concern of giving it the technical and logistical adequate conditions were the main purposes of this project.

Maquinas Iberica supplied and installed several stage engineering equipments, from which we can point out the orchestra pit platform featuring Spiralift system (it has one of the longest travel in Europe – 11 metres), motorised bars with fixed and variable speed put in action through S3 technology, counterweighted and manual bars, electrified bars, towers and hydraulic stage lift. In our supply, we can still draw attention to the flexible safety curtain.

Besides these elements, we were also in charge of stage lighting, including spotlights, dimmers, lighting control consoles, audiovisual equipment, scenic sound and communications, stage decoration (main curtain and valance, proscenium regulators and cyclorama in PVC).

The construction of a higher stage box to host equipments and technical solutions with the necessary safety and functioning conditions is a symptom of the will and need to do well underlying the renovation of this theatre and it will allow it to stage diverse events the best possible way.

Theatro Circo undergone a profound refurbishment that brought back the glow of other eras
